In the first photo I used colour because the red and green lights stand out from darker branches. I also used movement because your eye follows the movement of the lights across the screen. For my rule of photography I used motion blur because the moving lights create streaks that freeze in the photo.
In the second photo I used texture because the textures of the railing stand out in the photo. I also used emphasis because the dark bars stand out by the light staircase. For my rule of photography I used leading lines because the bars of the railing guide the views eye deeper into the image.
In the third photo I used colour because the strong use of deep blues and warm golds create contrast. I also used contrast because the warm gold lights stand out against the blue background. For my rule of photography I used fill the frame because the texture and lights dominate the image with no empty space.
In the fourth photo I used lines because the blurred, flowing lines show motion across the image. I also used movement because the bright highlighted areas draw the viewers attention. For my rule of photography I used leading lines because the blurred branches lead the viewers eye across the photo.
In the fifth photo I used line because the strong vertical lines draw the viewers eye upward and downwards. I also used contrast because the bright, warm lights contrast with the dull background. For my rule of photography I used abstract photography because it focuses on colour and light rather than a clear subject.
