Colour + Emphasis Collages

1. Colour (brown)

I chose this element for my first collage because I wanted to focus on one colour. I like brown and since it was fall time I thought it would work well. The brown helps connect all the photos together. My photos demonstrate the colour element because they all use brown. They also show colour by using multiple different shades of brown. I learned that where you place objects in a photo is important and could make the photo stronger or weaker. I also learned that colours change the mood and meaning of my photos.

2. Emphasis

I chose this element for my second collage because I love how emphasis looks in a photo. It’s very satisfying and cool to look at, especially when it’s all put into a collage. My photos demonstrate emphasis because every one of them has a main focus point in the middle of the image and draws your eye into one specific part. I learned that composition is how you place items in a picture and that visuals can guide the viewers eye and show what is most important.
